Client: Australian Red Cross

Project Date: Apr-Jul 2014

About the Project:
Australian Red Cross wanted to make a film to raise awareness about disability inclusion amongst Red Cross staff. The Red Cross approached Storyscape as they were keen on a participatory approach involving a group of Red Cross staff from around Australia living with disabilities. Over two days we worked with this group of ten people to develop the concept and shoot the film. The first day we played a lot of creative games to define the messages, and then on day two we storyboarded the film and assigned roles and all got busy making it. Storyscape then edited the film, with feedback from the participants. The result is a short film about people with different abilities. It challenges stereotypes through expressing that we’re all capable, we just have different strengths, and different ways of communicating and learning.
